Why make the switch to our courses?

I come from the mindset that if you can learn a skill, it shouldn't matter WHERE you learned that skill at as long as you have extensive knowledge of the subject matter.  Look at Elon Musk for example.  He runs/owns Tesla, SpaceX, The Boring Company, & Neurolink.  Did he go to school for all of those subjects?   No.  He taught himself enough about each topic to successfully run those businesses while also hiring people who really know their stuff to assist with the more difficult concepts.

So why not apply the same thing here?  The great thing is that you can.  The tech industry is probably the most recent industry to adopt the experience/knowledge first, credentials last mentality.  Not every company has adopted this, but a lot of them have in my experience, especially on the contract work side of the coin.
